Support Product Services has the equipment for thorough cleaning of DPF filter elements. Your dirty filters are first flow tested to determine pressure drop due to soot buildup. The filters are then placed in a environmentally controlled cabinet, which collects all of the particulate matter removed, and is subjected to heavy suction on the dirty side while dry compressed air is applied to the clean side. This removes soot that is trapped in the filter's channels. This process is continued until there is no further decrease in pressure drop. The filters are then placed in a kiln and run through a staged temperature increase until they reach regeneration temperature. Regeneration combusts the soot that it trapped in the walls of the substrate that cannot be removed with compressed air. The filters remain at regeneration temperature for four hours, total time in the kiln is ten hours. The filters are again run through the suction/compressed air process until pressure drop stops declining and flow tested again to compare pressure drop improvement over their dirty state. All particulate matter collected is handled as hazardous waste and is disposed of in accordance with EPA regulations insuring the customer no environmental liabilities.

CATALYST WASHING AND ANALYSIS
As a partner of EmeraChem we offer chemical washing services for NSCR, SCR and oxidation catalyst elements with a process that is approved or recommended by most manufactures. The elements are first vacuumed to remove ash deposits and then soaked in a base solution to remove masking and fouling agents deposited on the catalyst surface. They are then rinsed with de-ionized water and then placed in an acidic solution to soak, followed by a final thorough rinsing with de-ionized water. They are then baked at 400F for three hours to remove all moisture before preparing for shipment.
Catalyst washing and rejuvenation along with full performance testing and analysis can be performed at Emerachem's Knoxville, TN facilities. Catalyst element recycling services are also available and can be arranged by Support Product Services.
